| It is the policy of our Company, as well as the law of our Country, that every working person is entitled to a safe and healthful place to work. It is the philosophy of this company
that People Are Our Most Important Asset . . . Their Safety is Our Greatest Responsibility. We have developed a strict safety program that all of our employees must adhere to at all times while performing operations for Tebarco. Each employee has a responsibility and full support of management in enforcing the guidelines outlined in this policy.
1. We employ a full time safety director (30 Hour OSHA Certified)
2. Each jobsite conducts weekly safety meetings.
3. Many employees are certified in CPR, First Aid, Blood Born Pathogens, 10 Hour OSHA, Fall Protection. Confined Space Entry, Trench Safety, Scaffolding Safety and Equipment and Tool Operations.
Tebarco is also a certified "Drug Free Work Place". All applicants must pass a drug test prior to employemnt and are randomly tested annually. No drug use is tolerated.
Our award winning Accident Prevention Program includes mandatory safety rules and regulations, which have been developed to prevent accidents and injuries, a formalized system of the responsibility of management to ensure that the safety rules are followed at all times, with equal responsibility of employees to comply with the program.
At Tebarco we train our supervisors and employees to identify and correct unsafe conditions and work practices. Each Foreman working at Tebarco jobsite is required to hold weekly safety meetings with all employees working at the jobsite, with an assessment given to each employee at the end of each training session. We use our monthly safety inspection program to continually evaluate our strengths and weaknesses. We maximize these visits with interaction with our field employees and employees from other trades that may be working along side of our people to reinforce safe procedures and discuss alternative options.
Tebarco has assembled focus groups to help to determine the effectiveness of our Safety Program. These focus groups meet once a month to review the policy and to discuss any new procedures that may need to be enforced. The focus group welcomes each employee's input regarding the Safety Program.
